Sandi Wemigwase is an enrolled member of Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians (Waganakising Odawa) located in northern Michigan. She is also a doctoral candidate in the Social Justice Education Department at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. Her research involves finding new methods universities can use to identify Indigenous students that do not rely solely on self-identification. Sandi has been involved with the Centre for Indigenous Studies for the past two years as the SAGE Coordinator, where her passions for Indigenous Student Services help shape the peer-mentorship program.
