Professor Deborah McGregor Visits the University of South Australia

Deborah McGregor, faculty member in the Aboriginal Studies Program, recently visited the University of South Australia to present at the 2013 Indigenous Knowledge Symposium. Kaurna Elder Dr (Uncle) Lewis O’Brien convened the symposium, which was entitled Protecting Country and Connecting Expertise. The symposium brought together those with expertise on a range of environmental issues, including valuing and applying traditional knowledges in land management and water conservation, recognizing water and land as sacred, and expanding knowledge around climate change.
