In May 2013, several ABS students were selected to participate in an Institute for Sustainable International Studies (ISIS) field course in Belize. Students were given the opportunity to generate an understanding of the history, culture and contemporary realities of Indigenous peoples and their struggles to sustain well-being. As part of this program, they were asked to reflect on their experiences and present their ideas to the U of T Community on Friday, November 22nd. ABS students, Itoah Scott-Enns and Ramona Reece presented on food security and land tenure as well as youth and culture.
