ABS Faculty Celebrated at Canadian Studies Event
On January 22, 2014 the Canadian Studies Program presented, “The World Needs More Canada”, an event that celebrated outstanding research and writing on Canada at the University of Toronto. Three Aboriginal Studies faculty members were among those whose scholarship was celebrated: Professor Deborah McGregor, co-editor and contributing author of Indigenous Peoples and Autonomy: Insights for a Global Age; Professor Cheryl Suzack, co-editor and contributing author of Indigenous Women’s Feminism: Politics, Activism and Culture; and Lee Maracle, author of First Wives’ Club: Coast Salish Style. The Aboriginal Studies Program would like to congratulate our distinguished faculty for their achievements!
